As a Turk. This is not best stadium in Türkiye. It’s not a football stadium it’s a olympic stadium. Why Türkiye nominated for this and why Uefa accepted this, I really didn’t understand.
We have more beautiful stadiums by the location and by atmosphere. Also this stadium have already hosted 1 final in 2005, second is not necessary. Totally a wrong choice

1.Istanbul was selected as the 2023 UCL Final host because that year was Turkey's centenary after being transformed from Ottoman Empire to the new republic state. At the same time, its football federation was born. 2023 also marks 570th anniversary of The Fall of Constantionple (on 29th May 1453).
2.The date of the UCL Final (10th June) falls when football fans in my country (Indonesia) were plagued by the Under 20 World Cup, which was hosted by Indonesia. So, when the tournament reaches its climax in 11th June, there might be a communal event for UCL Final.
