Turkish Airlines (THY), the main sponsor of the UEFA Champions League final match was broadcast live on the aircraft.
According to the statement made by the Turkish Airlines Press Office, passengers were informed that the match could be watched on the screens in the aircraft before the 2023 UEFA Champions League final played between England team Manchester City and Italy representative Inter at Atatürk Olympic Stadium.
Before the match, cabin crews made the following announcement: «As THY, the official sponsor of UEFA Champions League, you can watch the UEFA Champions League final match to be played between Inter and Manchester City teams at Istanbul Atatürk Olympic Stadium on our flight today live on Sport 24 or Sport 24 Extra channels under the live television category.»
In addition, THY distributed specially designed Champions League kits to the passengers to commemorate the day.
