Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid 5-3 on PK’s after Cristiano Ronaldo fired home the PK winner to bring the Champions League trophy back to Real Madrid. Sergio Ramos struck first during the first half, after what likely should have been an offsides call, but nonetheless, the goal stood and gave Real Madrid a 1-0 halftime lead. Antoine Griezmann missed a penalty early in the second half after it was fired off the crossbar, but Carrasco was able to send Atletico fans into bedlam when he finished a beautiful cross and tie the match. Extra time resulted in no goals, as both sides looked exhausted.

People think the Champions League is based on one game. If you don't play good in the final then you are dog shit. Seriously?!?! Why are people so quick to jump to conclusions? It pisses me off so badly. If this was the case then why didn't Messi show up for Atletico? Oh, that's right, he had a bad game. No one everyone is perfect.

Every fucking time I watch anything about real Madrid here, these two always Fucking hate on Ronaldo!!!!! Bitch, BBC were defending alot and Ronaldo came back from an injury and hasn't played for 16 days! But when he scores the winning penalty, people hate on him. But CR7 doesn't give a fuck! UCL came home, now waiting for Ballon'dor!!!!!

Fuck both Madrid teams and their support. Mon the Barca, won the Treble last season and the double this season.

lol at Athletico still having no trophies this season.

Francis I have to disagree with you on the fact that you said Ronaldo did nothing. He was a bit poor in the attacking side of the game for about 50 minutes but he was able to make up for it with his hard work off the ball and defensively. But I think that late into the game he was getting better on the attacking side

Ronaldo singlehandly carried them to theCup…you guys are amazing. They got to the final by a own goal against a joke City side. The hat trick against Wolfsburg is all fine and dandy but how about you two analyze those goals like some other people on Youtube. The Wolfsburg defence was a joke in that game. A tap in and being scared in the wall for his free kick…good grief.

Gareth Bale is better than Ronaldo. The amount of goals you score doesn't matter. Some of the worlds greatest players were not top scorers..Zico,Maradona,Platini for eg. The way Madrid fans treat Bale is a joke. He is a top player. Ronaldo did FKKK all this game and he did FKKK all in the last CL final also. I sat there at a pub and said to a friend watch Ronaldo take the 5th pk so he could be the hero even though he did nothing…

this game was such an injustice to Athletico Madrid. On other note I hate how that twat Ronaldo acted like he put the team on his back. He was invisible for 120 minutes and took the last penalty. And don't even get me started on that twat Pepe. Ramos and Marcelo were the best players on the Real Madrid side as usual

Ramos's goal was offsides carrasco's goal was legit griezman missed a penalty even if griezman missed the penalty atletico should of won because Ramos's goal was offsides and you Real Madrid fans are happy seeing your team win like this wow ??oh and who scored the winning penalty……Penaldo ???but of course it's Madrid winning on penalties

No matter who wins the CL final, every year theres gonna be people saying "they payed the refs so they can win"
Ive noticed that in every video of the CL finals everytime a team wins CL people say "they payed the refs" sadly

Clatenburg had a great game I thought, there were several occasions where plenty of referees could have lost control in that match. He was consistent, commanding, took no crap and didn't fall for any of the Oscar bids. I know it's a bit odd to praise a ref, but we all slate them quick enough, he definitely deserved praise for yesterday.

Your take on the games is always enjoyable and in my opinion, spot-on.

But as long as you don't (or can't) include video footage, sorry, I am spoiled by our german tv and so I will not view your show until this changes.

Please make it happen or cover other sports where you DO get the video footage.

No matter what CR7 does, some people just will never give him any credit. If he scores most of the goals and carries the team on his back (as he does most of the time) – he's a selfish player, if he doesn't score any goals or has a subpar game (even if injured like in this game and for Portugal at WC2014) – he's an overrated player who doesn't show up for his team. Would people like him more if he sat out every game where he wasn't 100% fit? Or, would they say he needed to suck it up and give it a go? That he was afraid of big games? Seems to me that 2nd-leg with Wolfsburg this season was a big game. So was that playoff tie for Portugal against Sweden. There are other examples as well…

He doesn't show up for every single game, but, considering that he does for about 95% of them, I'd say that's pretty fucking amazing. I understand if people don't like him – believe me he rubs me the wrong way too sometimes – but the lack of nuance with people, especially personality-obsessed pundits, just bothers me. And I would say the same thing about Messi and everyone who hates on him all the time. There are times when he shows up and times when he's not on his game. It's fine. It's called being human. This isn't FIFA online for fuck's sake.

Stop trying to take every amazing accomplishment away from these guys or trying to disqualify them. CR7, like Messi, is a once-in-a-generation player. And we are lucky enough to watch them both at the exact same time. This isn't going to happen again in our lifetimes. Let's start appreciating that and appreciating them a little more.

Congrats to Real on UCL! Congrats to Barca on La Liga! And sympathy to Atletico who continue to make it easier and easier to cheer for them.

okay so its been 8 hours since the game ended. my heart still hurts. I cried for a little in my room after the game and thought the emotion was out but now im sitting in my room again at 1:43am thinking about what couldve been. I need a hug from my mom and some pussy from the neighborhood sloot to get over this one

It's funny how they always hate on Ronaldo, but yet he's 31, in the best team in the world, just got back from injury, and still has done amazing this Champions League and has One shitty game and all the hate comes to him… Give Credit to Atletico because they took a big part Shutting Ronaldo down this game

Muchas gracias
