uefa are just about money and not about fans, ticket allocations for finals should be the perfect example of how football at the top is just business.
Just like fifa with the nations finals, none of the players really want to play in those glorified friendlies its just about money.

can't they all just be satisfied with billions instead of trillions.

This new format sucks a lot, and the fact they are taking this bad idea to Europa league and the conference league makes it all the more horrible, why not leave the format the way it is. football bodies especially uefa and fifa are making football uninteresting to watch.

I don' think people know how football is slowly dying right now. Money is there of course but compared to sports like the NBA they are losing so bad. Football has always been the sport around the world but basketball is on a huge come up since 2012. I'll give it to you in this perspective. Epidemic season 20-21 NBA made 6.41 Billion dollars in profit. If we count a non E season they made 7.8 Billion dollars. To give you some perspective the premier league made about 4.9 Billion Dollars when converted from pounds, prior E season. You can imagine the other leagues around the world. Basketball has been an evolving game that has been catering to the people that watch it. They have been changing rules just for their game to be more interesting for their audience. Also when I talk to the football community nobody really wants to acknowledge that the basketball game is becoming world wide. The 4/5 the top five players in the NBA are not from the US. The top three contestants for MVP this season are not from the US. I am sure Florentino Pérez saw this when he saw his superstar at his basketball team Luka Doncic that basketball is becoming something that is going to be a market to be tapped in. He signed an extension for $207 Million with Dallas. This is one of Perez former players. The game of football has to change their rules and change their system to compete with an upcoming basketball market. If they don't, I promise you that when we see our grandkids. They will be watching a champions league version of basketball. (These are the leagues that are currently running Basketball Bundesliga
, Greek Basket League, Liga ACB , Lega Basket Serie A. nbl, etc) And I am not going to lie, if they do get to this point, I would even watch it. The best basketball teams in the world in a champions league format. NY Knicks, LA Lakers, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich. Yeah I would watch that. When I saw their super league and Perez wanting to go for it. I actually was thinking this needs to happen for football to grow. I know we all hold our teams in our hearts and in our city but yeah we need to let that go in order for football to remain on top. NBA literally has play money to expand their brand and other brands across the world. I am also not against scoring/point changes. Outside the box two points/ inside the box one. Unlimited subs. Yes all of this would hurt the tradition. But the tradition is also what is hurting the game and the potential next level of intensity

Also, hate that UEFA is doing this. I think they are going to take this whole thing they actually want very slow. Like I feel what Perez was going to do was rip the bandage quick and take tradition out of the system quick. But UEFA is going to take that bandage off very slowly which is going to hurt more.

this is essentially a way for the big teams to have a guranteed spot in the CL, so basically Superleague 2.0 while also reducing the value of the Champions League at the same time. Well done UEFA

as a football fan from africa im happy that the CAF Champions League is sticking to the top 2 spots that get you to the competition. these Uefa changes are awful and diluting the value of thier champions league.

I wasn't yet born when only teams who won their domestic leagues could qualify for the European Cup but at this rate, I would mind going back to that rule.

It's ridiculous increasing the size of the completion. At this rate within the next 10 years, the top 8 will qualify for the Champions League and then 9th to 17th Europa League ?

These people are destroying football over money ! we need to get rid of them football was born without this nonsense just don't support it when are people going to realise no power can do anything without them or their sanction. Just don't go !! keep tampering with rules format everything . If this carries on I am going to my local park for football.

Its funny all that kick off about the breakaway super league and since that they have created the eufa conference cup and now adding more to the champions league is kind of taking the piss.
